The Celtics were led by a 36-point performance from Jayson Tatum, who also had 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Jaylen Brown added 23 points, hitting a crucial three-pointer to force overtime.
The Celtics led by 15 points in the third quarter, but the Pacers fought back to take the lead late in the fourth. However, Brown's three-pointer sent the game into overtime, and Boston outscored Indiana 15-8 in the extra period to secure the win.
Malcolm Brogdon led the Pacers with 31 points, while Tyrese Haliburton added 22 and Andrew Nembhard had 18. The Pacers shot 47.9% from the field, but they were just 5-of-23 from three-point range. The Celtics shot 46.3% from the field and were 13-of-37 from three-point range.
