The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Connor Dewar to a one-year contract worth $1.18 million, the club announced Tuesday. The signing comes after the Maple Leafs acquired Dewar from the Minnesota Wild for a 2026 fourth-round pick and Dmitry Kulikov.
Dewar, 26, is a versatile forward who has played in 42 games for the Wild this season, recording five goals and seven assists. He is known for his strong defensive play and physical presence, which make him a valuable asset to the Maple Leafs' bottom six.
The signing of Dewar helps the Maple Leafs add depth to their forward group, which has been depleted by injuries to Calle Jarnkrok and Pontus Holmberg. Dewar is expected to play a key role in the Maple Leafs' playoff push, which begins on April 12.
